Why you do not need to lose weight to book a Boudoir session.

This is something I hear ALL…THE…TIME.

“Can we wait and set up my shoot after I lose this extra 10 lbs.”

“If I ever lose this baby weight, I’m coming in for a shoot for sure.”

Trust me, I get it.  I totally get wanting to feel and look your best for a boudoir shoot.  It’s an investment of time and money and you want to be sure you’re going to be happy with the results. My girlfriend hears me complain about the weight I have gained on a weekly basis at least.

But, ask yourself this question. What if you never lose the weight?  Are you going to live your life always wishing you could just lose those last few pounds?  Are you going to constantly feel inadequate unless you have a certain physique?  Are you not deserving of an amazing and empowering experience just because of what the scale says or how the jeans fit?

Is it possible that you could love yourself no matter your size?  Is it possible that your perception of yourself is skewed? Is it possible that your perceived “flaws” are not real and you have no idea how lovely you actually are?

Is it possible that you’re beautiful and perfect right now, in this moment?

Well guess what, YES IT IS.

If you want to lose 10 pounds for your shoot, go for it!  If you don’t?  Totally fine!  If you want to, but life happens and you end up gaining weight instead…it’s going to be okay.  Good posing and proper lighting alone takes off 10 pounds anyway.

Women come in all shapes and sizes, but none of that makes them any less beautiful. This is your time to capture where you are in your life. Love yourself. Hey, maybe a year down the road you do lose that 10 pounds. And when you look at yourself, you may be saying, I look just as good as I did last year.

Maybe you lose even more, and want to book a second shoot to help show that progression of an amazing milestone like that.

No matter where you are, I will make you look more beautiful than you thought possible, and your confidence will be at such a high level that if anything it may help motivate you to push further. I love nothing more than igniting new found confidence in my clients and helping them to see themselves as they truly are.

A scale or pant size is just a number. But the more important number you should be focused on is the number of years you have left to make the most out of your life. And the best way to focus on that is to see the better you that everyone else sees.
