WHO ARE YOUR TYPICAL CLIENTS?

Some need a boost in self-esteem. Others need a reminder of the powerfully sexual beings they are, and don't often get to show it. Some love the idea of getting dolled up and taking romantic images. Some want images that show more skin and are already proud of their bodies, and many want to see just how great their bodies CAN look. Maybe they're getting married and want a gift for their new partner? An anniversary gift? Or, maybe they've gotten a divorce or bad break and just want to feel beautiful again? But my favorites are the women that are doing it purely for themselves!

I DON’T KNOW ABOUT USING A MALE BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHER, WON’T THAT BE AWKWARD?

Let’s kick that elephant out of the room right now. Yes, I am a male boudoir photographer, but I am in a committed relationship with someone who supports my career and the idea of female empowerment.  I photograph women, couples as well as men. This line of work for me is about creating art, and making you feel beautiful and comfortable with the skin you are in. I understand if you have concerns, but I promise you will feel safe, confident and relaxed.

However, this session is about you and you being absolutely relaxed and comfortable.  I guarantee a professional, fun and supportive atmosphere that you will truly enjoy. If it is more comfortable for you, we can arrange for someone else to be present as well. You could even bring a friend, who is more than happy to sit and chat, have a drink, and be there to encourage and support you.

HOW LONG DOES A SESSION TAKE?​

Your session will last 2-3 hours. (We always allow for 3). We'll take care of your makeup, and light hairstyling, and help you pick your outfits too!  Since we never rush a session, you will be more relaxed, and it will show in your photographs. 

HOW MANY OUTFITS SHOULD I PREPARE?

We generally suggest 3-5 outfits, and some incidental extra pieces. Different bras and panties, corsets, garters, etc. BTW, if your outfit includes garters, don't forget the stockings too. High heels are great for these sessions if you feel they fit your personality. The higher and sexier the better! But if you don’t normally wear heels, I don’t want you to feel like you need to wear them. It's up to you! Have a selection of everything!

CAN I BRING A FRIEND?

Absolutely yes! However, I suggest you be very selective. That person cannot interfere with the flow of the shoot. They must be someone you deem "very supportive". I recommend a 'best friend' but strongly believe it should not be a partner or significant other. If you have questions about this, please let me know before the day! What you need is a literal cheerleader for you!

*Spouses and significant others- I kindly request you leave your spouse at home. There are very specific reasons for this. Often they want to watch over my shoulder. This is a distraction as you’ll be constantly looking to them for approval. Next, believe when I say, you will NOT feel as free to follow directions, or make proper eye contact with the camera with your partner as the audience. Another big reason is that I’ve had some husbands try to direct the shoot, telling a client to do something different then what I am having them do, or tell the client a pose does not look good for them. But they are not looking through my camera. They do not see what I am seeing. If there is no other choice but to bring them along, I may have them wait in another room while we are working, as I prefer to not have them in the shooting areas. This will not be fun for them or for you. Leave the partner at home, as this experience is for you and no one else. Sure, your spouse may benefit from the resulting images, but they just won’t be as good if you’re worried about their approval.

WILL YOU BE SHARING MY PHOTOS ONLINE?

Boudoir photography is intimate and personal. Not a single image will be shared with anyone without your permission.  Each client you see on my website or instagram page felt amazing and decided to grant me permission to use them.  

But what if I change my mind?

This is normal, things happen. If you have given me permission and then later decide you would like them private, the images would be removed upon your request.  It is more important to me to value you as a client and, more importantly, a person.

WHERE WILL WE BE SHOOTING?

Most of my shoots are done in my home studio. I am able to move things around my living room to set many different scenes, including sofa, bed, etc. We can shoot outside at a special place that is near and dear to you, your home if that makes you feel more comfortable, an AirBNB, a hotel room, etc. There are endless options to choose from.

THERE ARE AREAS THAT I AM SELF-CONSCIOUS ABOUT, WILL YOU PHOTOSHOP THEM?

This is probably one of the most common questions I get asked.  The short answer is… maybe, but after thorough conversation regarding what is wanted. I will not edit you so drastically that it no longer looks like you.  I will do touch-ups, remove some skin blemishes or things that just do not look right.  My general rule of thumb is if you have a mark on you that will be gone in 3-6 months, I will remove it.  With that said, a boudoir session is not to make you look skinnier, more muscular, heavier, more tan or whatever you feel you need, this is about making you feel beautiful just as you are. Trust me, I am fully aware of not liking certain things about ourselves, I am no exception to that, so lets discuss what you like and what you do not like.  I will use this information to pose you in a way that accentuates certain areas or help hide those areas you do not like.  However, I think by the end of the session you will be super confident and not at all worried about what you might consider a problem area.

HOW WILL I SEE MY PHOTOGRAPHS?​

I present all images personally, and you will want, and need me there for this part of the process. This ordering appointment helps you to make an educated decision, and is equally vital to you LOVING your images.

The ordering appointment is just as important as the session itself.

Within 1 to 2 weeks of your session, you will come back for your ordering appointment. This is the time where you will view all of your images on a 65” screen, go over wall decor options, and finalize your book/album designs. This is when you'll place your order. Whether it be an album, wall art, or just digitals, being able to see your final images on the big screen lets you really take in just how beautiful you are!

A LITTLE ABOUT PRICING

​Your Boudoir Experience always includes a 2 - 3 hour Boudoir session, complimentary makeup and light hair styling, and your ordering appointment where I'll help you select your images and design your album, book or wall decor.

Because of the time and preparation involved in each session, I can only accept a few sessions per week, and NEVER more than one a day. Make no mistake, this is a luxury experience!

Your Boudoir Experience is $350. This covers covers the session, complimentary makeup and light hair styling, all the posing and direction you'll ever need to feel comfortable, and the 1 hr ordering appointment.

Album collections are sold separately.
